Catawba is a concord hybrid and i have Catawba and Michigan Concords in my garden but when i moved here i lost the tags for each variety. I do think the Catawba are slightly redder than the Concord. Other than that, i have a good crop of both varieties. Don't know when to pick them yet because someone said the later i pick them, the higher the sugar value. i am keeping an eye on them so the birds don't start eating them. charlie

thank you so much. i had to laugh when i went to the link. the third variety i have is niagara and it was listed third. the forth variety is chamboursin. i might be a little far north for growing it but this is the third year growing here in ne nebraska and two plants are loaded with grapes and the other vines have filled out their places. chamboursin really vines a long way like niagara. charlie
