I have a friend that just covered about 3 acres in dirt and leveled it. I was wondering if there was a type of fast germinating grass seed that would still come up this time of year, to give something green to look at over the winter? He lives in south Langley. TY Jim.

Jim. I think you need temps of 6-8C to get it to germinate but, with the reasonably mild weather we have had it may work. consider hydroseeding, it might hold on better during our deluges we have been getting.

This site says soil temp of 65F is needed....
