Can anyone ID this succulent?

Over the summer I acquired this guy but I have no idea what family it belongs to. Any one have an idea?

I think an agave of some sort...

 

That's kinda what I was thinking, but after many agave searches I still don't know.

(Looks like A. parryi? or A. ovatifolia? to me...)
