Callistemon violaceus

    Callistemon violaceus is in full bloom now and with it's vivid color, attracts butterfies and hummingbirds. Unfortunately they wheren't around during this photo session.

    Forms I have seen here had purplish red flowers - presumably the basis for the species name - and narrower, more pointed leaves than those of specimen shown.
