    Hello

Can anyone please identify this cactus, so that I can research how to take good care of him. I think it is possibly a Pachycereus schottii? What flavour I do not know?
The top of this guy is slowly starting to turn red and getting a big crack in it.

He is planted in a deep, slim pot with cactus soil, gets full sun all day long, and located in South Africa, at the beginning of summer.

    Thanks in advance.....

I think you got the name right, Pachycereus schottii, the odd-looking form sometimes called mieckleyanus. The red colour is probably a normal reaction to the sun, but the crack is weird. Actually, it looks more like a cut than a crack.
