I recently purchased a large mature monstera deliciosa that was kept as an indoor plant. The previous owner repotted it one month before I purchased it, and placed a burlap sac at the bottom of the new pot to prevent soil from spilling out of the drainage holes.

Does anyone know if this is safe for the plant from a drainage and root health perspective? I wonder whether it's best to unpot the plant to remove the sack, but would rather not stress the plant again if I don't have to.

    Thank you!
