I have noticed a tiny 3mm copper/orange coloured beetle on the flowers of my

Brugmansia...aside from theapearance of the common earwig and sow bug , I have never encountered this insect?

I dutifully scour the flowers at dusk...removing both the earwigs and this beetle...

The Brug. is potted under a transparent/clear deck cover, the heat is atrocious 37

degrees by mid afternoon... the scent, intoxicating... but the leaf growth is now a pale

green, no longer the vibrant green....applied a time release fertilizer...hmmm...

I am not impressed with these efforts...or the ongoing pest management....any

    sugestions???
