Brown and shriveled cactus

    Hi! My cactus has started to shrivel up and turn brown at its base for some time now. I’m not quite sure what’s going on. I recently repotted it since it was getting too big for its old pot but nothing changed. I can tell it’s spreading towards the top. Please help!

    Does not look like a typical disease, but the red colour is worrying. If it is rot or some other root disease then there is not much you can do, except remove the entire root system and try to reroot the plant. I suggest that you wait and see what happens, unless you want to dig out the roots, inspect them and perhaps cut off a few and see what they look like on the inside .
