Today blueberries were picked about 25 km south of Brantford, ON. The bushes were loaded with fruit. The soil is sandy and I noticed there was facilities for irrigation.

The second picture in the series shows wild blueberries for comparison, that I saw last week 17 July 2006 in Northern Ontario near Elliot Lake.

It would be informative if some-one with a camera would take some pictures of the different blueberies that are grown in Richmond, BC. The berries are picked by tapping the branch over a stretcher, not individual picking as is required with the Ontario variety.

If I found some of these in _my_ neck of the woods...well, I would not find them...there just not here...lucky you.
