We had a lot of sunlight in the summer last year which resulted in excellent budding on the Rhodos, but then we had a period in winter that not only went below -10 C. but stayed there for long enough to affect a lot of plants, killing some and frosting the flower buds of many. This one came through and bloomed for the first time since I acquired it in 2007 - it is now c. 2 m tall - R. balangense.
