I have a curry leaf plant in a pot. It is grown as an indoor plant. It is about 4 feet , had no problems for the last five years. Recently the leaves appear pitted and has black spots on the undersurface of the leaves. The black spots could'nt be wiped off. The new growth of leaves appear okay but soon the black spots appear. As the leaves are edible , did not want to use insecticide. Is it an infestation or due to some nutritional deficiency? I hate loosing this plant and has no idea as to what the problem is. Please advise me. Much appreciated. Indra
I don't know what it is, but this has come up on the forums before. http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=85549&highlight=curry+leaf+black+spots It seems to be a problem with Murraya koenigii, might be this: http://www.sciencepub.net/newyork/ny0408/014_6358ny0408_70_76.pdf
