black cedar/white cedar from seeds/cuttings

    ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE GOWING CEDARS FROM SEEDS AND OR CUTTINGS? WHATS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO TAKE MATURE SEEDS AND CUTTINGS? I LIVE EAST OF TORONTO ONTARIO !     Cedar cones are mature now. For Deodar Cedar, dry the cones out and they will disintegrate to release the seeds. For Lebanon and Atlas Cedars, soak the cones in ice-cold water for 3-4 days to soften them, then break the cones open by hand to get the seeds out.

    Cedars don't take from cuttings.

    No cedars called 'black' or 'white' - can you post a photo of what you have, for identification? Some plants which aren't cedars are sometimes wrongly called cedars, and it could perhaps be one of those.
