I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for non-native shrubs and or trees that would grow well in Whistler, B.C. (Zone 4- I've been told). I am helping a friend with the design of their garden and would like to introduce some appropriate non-native plants to the native planting palette. I have only recently moved to Whistler, so I'm not very familiar with how plants perform in this plant hardiness zone. I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone might have.
