This is a very broad question, but do you guys find any specific brand/ model of fertilizer that provided the best results for maples or any other woody shrub/tree genus? (full canopy, healthy leaves, faster growth)? any specific NPK ratio? is it better to have a synthetic or organic fertilizer?
Hi Soumil, I don't feed anything planted in the ground, but my pots I use the Doff controlled release feed for acid loving plants. I only use this in late April / early May. If you look at the Doff website it shows the NPK. I have found the controlled release far better than the slow release, as it only feeds when the weather is warm enough. So for my location when I get an exceptionally cold Spring it does not stress the trees by feeding unessesarily.
