I have two pony tails next to my pool fountain. One is doing OK., the other seemed to be rotting from the top. It was suggested that I cut off about the top six inches of the plant. This I did with much trepidation. There are three small shoots near the base of the plant. Have I done the right thing or is there something else I can do to aid in it's recovery?

It looks as though this will recover from it's beheading. These perform best with good drainage and periodic light fertilizing. Rule of thumb is to never over water. When in doubt, wait.

    Thanks for the reply, LPN.
Will keep it drier and see what develops.

    Many Thanks
