I bought a dwarf seedless lime tree a year ago and planted it in a container. It had five or six limes on it, which grew to maturity. I wintered it inside using a grow light, and it did well. When I put it outside on my deck this past spring, it burst into bloom, and now it has many, many very small limes on it, but they have not grown. Being an ignoramus when it comes to citrus, I am wondering if I should have (or should do now) pick off many of the very small limes, so that it will give a few of them a chance to grow to maturity. There are 20-25 teeny limes on it (and it is beginning to flower again, as well). Thanks.
You can thin the fruit if you wish, however, it is not required, as the citrus tree will automatically drop all fruit that the tree is not capable to bring to maturity. Are you fertilizing the tree? Lastly, is the tree fully leafed?- Millet
