Please can anyone tell me what the little yellow "blobs" inside the flower are? Are they the stigmas? If so what the other "bits" in the centre? It is the flower of Asteropyrum cavaleriei.Thanks.

    Possibly nectaries?

Thanks again Michael F and Daniel.Have seen the nectaries on Helleborus hybridus, but never associated them with the Asteropyrum- they look so completely different.
    Mystery solved.

Thought I should update this thread. The flower has developed. The "yellow blobs" on what looked like a style must be the nectaries, as the "other bits" in the centre are forming seeds! Apologies for the quality of the pics, it is a very small flower and my "box brownie" camera is not up to the challenge!
