I have a large weeping cherry tree in my front yard. It is probaby 30-40' tall & absolutely gorgeous. It has full sun exposure.
The problem is this year I notice large sections of bark are starting to pull away from the trunk. I'm afraid it has a disease.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I would hate for it to die.
    Thank you.

without seeing the damage its tough to even guess. I would suggest if the tree is of high value to you that you hire a qualified arborist to do a consultation and assessment.
