    Hi Alex,

When I click on the images nothing happens. Are they very small?

Anyway it looks like a vertical crack? I've noticed that can happen if a tree starts getting more water suddenly. I have several maples (saccharinum, beurgerianum, etc) that have done this. The good news is it heals very easily and doesn't seem to lead to other problems.

Did you, like us, get a significant amount of rain in the end of April?

    A. campestre is a pretty tough customer, too! ;)
