I reciently purchased apple and persimmon bare root seedlings for wildlife
planting and I would like to grow them in a protected area for a year before
I place them out on my property . Should I seperate them and keep the roots
confined to a pot or sack or could I bank them in and dig them up in a year without
damaging the roots? they will be easier to fence if they are in a smaller area.
I would appreciate any halp on the subject.
    thank you Joe

Pot them up and place them to grow on in a fenced nursery area.
