I have an Avocado Tree to give away. We planted the seed in a cup of water to try it out and the resulting plant has been successful for a few years. I think it is three years old now. It is in a pot, and will need to be put in a bigger pot soon. And it needs to be brought indoors during winters, and cold evenings, so a high ceiling or a greenhouse is recommended. I replaced one of the pot lights in our ceiling with a grow light, but our ceiling is only 8' high and the tree is now bumping up against it. By the end of this summer I am sure this tree will be too tall to fit under an 8' ceiling. If you have a greenhouse, sunroom, or a place in your house with room for this tree, you are welcome to it.
