Asparagus seeds

    Can you successfully start a Aspsragus plant from seed and when would be a good time to start the seeds. It will possibly be warm enough byend of April to start planting outside...

    The ONLY way to start asparagus is from seed. Asparagus is easily grown from seed, which germinates in one to three weeks. Transplant the following spring to the spot it should grow permanently. Crowns can also be divided in early spring or fall, but this disturbs production for a few years. - Millet
