are these suckers on my tahiti lime?

hi everyone.

i have enclosed some pics of the tahiti lime i bought a couple of weeks ago. i am not sure if the pics of the leaves are from suckers, as they seem to have a big leaf stuck on a little leaf?! and i have heard this indicates they are suckers. if this is the case, the suckers are growing a lime! it wasnt in the best health when i bought it and if they're suckers im gonna get rid, i wanta healthy plant :D

No those are not suckers. - Millet

 

The part of the leaf you circled is the petiole. Rootstock suckers, if they ever appear on you tree will have to come from below the large limbs that grow out to the side on your tree--I cannot see the graft line, but anything above that is part of the lime and not rootstock.

 

For me this is a close call. Having such a small tree I would leave it be . Dale
