There seemes to be a lot of confusion here in the US about whether there are any hot 'banana' peppers. I've never known them to be anything but a sweet pepper. Hungarian wax peppers look the same but are hot peppers. Some here in the US say there ARE hot 'banana' peppers, not of the wax varieties. Subway sandwich shops here call their rings of hot pepper condiments 'banana' peppers and some catalogs list a variety of banana pepper in their 'hot' section. Anyone know? Thanks, Rebecca
