Hedges: Arborvitae-Emerald green foliage turning brown

    One of my hedge trees, and my neighbour's tree, both arborvitae (emerald green), are both turning brown.(see photo) Could this be spruce spider mite? Is this a common problem in the lower mainland (North Vancouver)?

    Look at the damage up close, maybe even using a lens, to see if there are mites.
