    I want to collect some Aralia here. The one of the moment is Aralia elata 'Variegata', which is looking very showy in the Contemporary Garden right now.

    The abundant suckers are not the variegated cultivar. In addition to not being variegated, they are armed. Maybe that's just because they're young?

    I said "suckers", but would they be seedlings?
