My apple tree was loaded with blossums in the spring and had a load of apples after. It has since then lost 1/2 of them. They keep falling off prematurly. Why?
    Thank you.

Dont worry it's normal behaviour it's called thinning it's also done by hand as well as occuring naturally
    It happens for several reasons:
    1) the flowers were not properly pollenated so the fruit is infertile
    2) the fruit is damaged in some way
    3) the fruit set was too heavy for the tree to handle so it drops some to reduce stress and demand for water
    4) Artaficial thining helps produce better fruit and reduces the weight on the branches

    Hope that helps
