There is a lots of threads in the "Fruit trees" forum regarding apple. What would you say of creating, like for Citrus and grapes, a new sub-forum dedicated to apples ?
In fact, this thread was not supposed to be a poll. I'd like to have the opinion of Daniel (UBC webmaster) on this question ?
Not sure how useful it would be. A lot of people are still going to put their apple queries in the trees forum, so it means you'll have to check two forums, instead of just one. How many people check threads by forum index, anyway? I'd suspect most just use the 'new posts' button and scan through everything that has appeared since they last looked.
You're right. I use 'new posts' too but a sub-forum is just easier to manage. A moderator can merge double threads, rename it when needed. All this things that makes a forum easier to read.
