I have aphids on several of my plants, all different kinds. The aphids are orange, green, and white. I like to be as natural as possible in the garden. What kind of options are out there, in order to get rid of them? thanks so much in advance.

you can just blast the plants with spray from the hose. that'll get rid of them for the moment - they invariably come back though. natural predators - like ladybugs or lacewings - will generally keep the aphid population in check. you can purchase the ladybugs - it's hard to keep them in your yard though, lol. planting certain types of plants that ladybugs and lacewings like or need to lay their eggs on would be one way to attract them.

i rarely use anything other than the hose - only resort to chemicals when there's a serious and/or long-lasting infestation.

up here they tend to be bad in early spring and then basically disappear for the rest of the season. your weather is different (warmer much more of the time) so i can see where you'd have regular and/or continual problems.

try the hose and see how that goes. good luck!
