I encountered this unusual fruit (jackfruit) for the first time this summer at the Dallas Farmers Market. I bought a fourteen pound fruit and sprouted the seed from it. I now have little forests of jackfruit seedlings in one gallon pots. I know they are supposed to be difficult to transplant, but I didn't have room for larger pots inside, and my greenhouse isn't built yet. I intend to pot them up to large containers in the spring. Does anyone have experience growing these?
