I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place. Feel free to move it where appropriate. I was given an Aloe Vera plant and I'm not sure what to do for it. It isn't as green as aloe plants I've had before and also it is turning brown in places. Here's a picture of it. Please help me know what to do for it. Thanks!
I wouldn't worry too much about the colour......it looks very wet, particularly the leaves, it doesn't need misting and needs loads of sun.
I second Oscar. Put it in the brightest window you have and let the soil dry out between waterings. In time you will lose the bottom leaves, but that happens lots. no big deal. It grows pretty fast. What soil is it in? Michael
I agree with Michael and Oscar. Looks like it's too wet. Here's how to grow them. http://faq.gardenweb.com/faq/lists/cacti/2000073249017614.html Newt
