Can I move irises or replant them properly if they did not bloom this year or should I wait until August?

Move bearded iris right after bloom time. New roots come out in late summer so moving before then is optimal. Other types of irises have different timing.

i've moved bearded iris as late as the mid- to late-june and it didn't interrupt the blooming (they were pretty well established to begin with, though, and had already been blooming).

normally, i wouldn't move them if they haven't bloomed yet...you might cause them to hold back another year before blooming. if they aren't getting any full sun in their current location, that's going to slow down the bloom time, so you might as well move them to a better spot - that might be all they need to start blooming.
