I bought an Alstroemeria Princess Lily plant from a local nursery(Sheridan Nursery) After some searching on the net I think I have its exact type down to the 'Amazone' variety. The person at the nursery said the plant was an annual. Here is my dilema : I know the person in the nursery said it is an annual. I am growing it in a pot as opposed to putting it in the ground. The flowers are so gorgeous! Is there any way I can save the plant so that I can still have blooms for the next few years? I am not sure if these plants produce seeds which might be used for the following year. Help! -Nayana
Hi Ananya, You can plant the seeds indoors in late winter or keep the pot indoors for the winter and put it outside again in the spring after danger of heavy frost. You can also dig them out of the pot and save the tubers over the winter to plant in spring. http://theseedsite.co.uk/db1a.html http://theseedsite.co.uk/ http://www.acadianagardening.com/viewarticle.php?colid=641 http://www.growingedge.com/community/archive/read.php3?c=CH&q=666 Newt
