I am a retired biology teacher who has finally found a way to win the weed battle: Jeff Ball's 60-Minute Garden. This is the most complete raised-bed vegie garden book I've found. I've fully double dug both 5'x 50' beds and used silo plastic for the paths. I have the poly come up inside the side boards. One inch of sheep-manure enriched compost and seaweed each year, no more digging---ever.
Hey Nick, sounds like you have quite a vegetable garden. There has been discussion of till no-till in the Fruit and Veggie Forum lately. You may have some input to offer there. The no-till gardening methods seem to be increasing in popularity. My family started using a no-till strategy in our garden after reading Ruth Stout's book on the subject 30 years ago. It worked very well. I have used both till and no-till since. Welcome to the Forums,
