Last year I have planted red Alpine Strawberry next to everbearing strawberry (Tristar). This year my alpine strawberry sent several runners so far. As far as I know alpine strawberry should not send runners. Does anybody know what is wrong with it? Does it send runners because it is planted very close to regular strawberry? Is it turning to regular one? Thanks.
