Any idea what species this aloe might be? It looks like a central stem with slightly keeled leaves lined on the margins with long white (not yellow) teeth that also grow on the "keel" or bottom of the leaves. It's medium green, no spots or other colors. I'm running out of space and am wondering what it is and how big it's going to get. Thanks for any help.
Hi. Many thanks for trying. I checked the web for your suggestion of the black tooth aloe but it says that aloe is stemless and foliage makes a cup; mine is growing up a stem and leaves are rather straight outward.. I will go back and see if any of the thorns are black; only remember seeing white ones. Again, many thanks for taking your time!
I'm horrible at figuring out different aloe species as there are so many and I've really on had experience with the generic aloe vera but having said that I found a site that has a large amount of the different varieties with pictures to boot. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/b/Asphodelaceae/Aloe/none/cultivar/0 I hope that somewhere on the 12 pages that there'll be something that reminds you of your plant or it might also help other people on this forum who have more experience than myself to pick out the right one for you instead. Good luck! Ryan
Thank you so much, Rhynno! I'm off to check it out now. I always try to find what ever plant I'm looking for before asking for help (and enjoy the search; you never know what neat plants you'll see) but haven't seen much like this one yet. Thanks again; I'll report back if I find it!
