The following was sent via email:

I am trying to find a local all season ground cover. Any ideas?

(Judging from the email address we are guessing that the question comes from the local area)

If a hot, dry location UBC introduction 'Vancouver Jade' bearberry might fit the bill. If moister, UBC intro. 'Formosan Carpet' (I think that is current name) raspberry makes quite an ornamental, dense, easily grown covering. Too low to exclude all weeds however, with small prickles on stems (wear gloves).
