air plants

    hello im new here im tring to find some info about air plants my nieghbor i had them when i was younger she had hers on rocks i guess what i wanna know could i grow them on deer antler i have a couple shed that would be real cool if i could make it work some how

    i don't see why not. i've seen air plants (which are bromileads, btw) attached to driftwood pieces and cork bark pieces, as well as rocks and shells.

    all you'd need is some wire or fishing line and some moss. use the wire/line to attach the moss to the antler piece and also to hold the plant on until the roots grow into the moss.

    post a pic of the finished piece, i'd love to see how it looks!

    Air plants will grow on anything, as long as they get decent light and a mist once every 3 days or so. You can tell if they need to be sprayed casue they feel really britle and dry. They cant take bright direct all day sun, but they can take bright light to partial shade no problem. If they are in a hot area, youll want to water them more, but if they are in a cooler, moister area, they dont need to be misted as often. Also, have fun trying to kill them. Best of luck!
