I am trying to run an indoor herb garden but I keep getting a thin layer on white fluff that looks like mold on the soil on all my herbs. I have a box about 2 feet high wrapped in reflecting plastic with a grow light inside. I am growing just some basic micro greens and salad mix in potting from home depot. I am wondering if this mold is from over watering or maybe I need a new growth substrate? Also are the herbs still safe to eat if there is this thin layer of white mold on the surface of the soil but not on the herbs themselves? If anyone knows how I can eliminate this mold it would be very appreciated!
