I was fortunate enough to be able to get seeds from an Iseli introduction, Acer palmatum X pseudosieboldianum 'North Wind.'

'North Wind' evidently has good cold tolerance having survived -30F during Iseli's trials. I am hoping the seedlings inherited this trait.

I got good germination and quite variable seedlings (so far). This photo shows some of the variability. I will enjoy watching these mature.

A little quiet on the forum lately.

I brought the seedlings to brighten up the winter. Just starting to leaf out now.

Very cool! Do you plan on putting them in the ground any time soon?

No I intend to keep them all in pots at least for at least the next two growing seasons. With a troubled local economy I want to keep some of my unique plants 'liquid'.
