This tree seemed to take a few years to get established, acquired as a 2 year old graft. It has now put out vigorous growth for the last 2 years. Vertrees, 2nd edition, states "The top will form a broadened canopy typical of the palmatum species". It is getting late morning to early afternoon sun and seems hardy. Pic 1 taken May 12/08.
