    Same here -- taking showers with buckets to catch the excess water for maple-watering purposes is certainly a new experience (the things we do for our trees!) As you say, the main thing is for our trees to make it safely to next Spring rather than hoping for any special shows this Autumn, right?

    Looks like we are all doing the same Xi. But I do wish these water companies would fix all the leaks...

    Not for every hours of the day.this maple want two or trhee hours of sun in the morning.or partial shade ...my zone Is USDA 9b

    Always glad to see this tree show it's coveted goma fu variegation even in my southeastern U.S. location. Check that crazy looking left on the second picture.
