Acer palmatum 'Takao'

    Does anyone here have experience with growing Acer palmatum 'Takao'?
    Here's the description on the Topiary Gardens website: "Very old cultivar dating back to 1690 in Japan. Rich green leaves with red petioles followed by outstanding bright yellow to gold fall color. Large tree with a rounded top that could reach 30 ft at maturity."

    i had a couple of small ones before i lost them in the winter of 2013. I really liked the leaf shape but can't comment much on overall shape of the tree because mine were small. If i see one again i would probably buy it.
