Acer palmatum 'Shindeshojo'

7th May 2021 and my Shindeshojo is coming to life. It has been hit a bit by the constant overnight frosts. But the colours are there.

 

14th May 2021 and this is probably the height of my shinideshiojo colours.

 

22nd June 2021 and now my Shindeshojo is in transition phase. A very pretty time IMO.

 

2nd April 2022 and in the very cold Spring sunshine, my Shindeshojo is brightening up my garden.

 

29th April 2022 and now fully out and brightening a corner of my garden.

 

18th May 2022 and the greens are making their way into the leaves now.

 

19th June 2022 and the very subtle pinks and greens are very evident now. I do love this transition time.

 

1st May 2023 and my Shindeshojo is loving this cool cloudy Spring.

 

5th May 2023 and I was asked on a PM if shindeshojo held its colours well.
So here it is this morning. It will do this all the way through to mid Summer.

 

3rd June 2023 and the colours ate still strong on my Shindeshojo.

 

I'm also interested in what cultivar this was referring to.. Is Matt still around? Possibly Noel? Being a variegated form of Shin deshojo.

 

Hi Dan, I'm afraid Matt has not been present on the forum since 2015. .

 

12th April 2024 and tbe vivid pinks have arrived today on my Shindeshojo.
