Acer palmatum 'Red Cloud'

Described as:

A rounded, upright deciduous tree. Spring leaves emerge red with long narrow lobes. The color holds well through summer; orange-red in fall. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. 8' tall x 5' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5. Discovered and introduced by the Flora Wonder(tm) Collection of Buchholz Nursery

 

Just a youngster, this was only planted on 30th April 2008.

Red Coud, starting to leaf out spring 2010.

 

Here is a planting of three Red Cloud in one group. to give the scale, the box is 48" by 48".

 

Red Clound is a nice smaller tree with beautiful red leaves throughout the year.
