Acer palmatum 'Orion' Full sun or part shade?

    Hi, is anyone growing acer palmatum 'Orion' in full sun? Does it need afternoon shade? Thanks

    Hi SLR. I am a new owner of Orion so at this point can not give you anything to go on. Next year I will experiment with a few different locations to see how it does. This variety doesn’t get mentioned very often, but I think it’s very pretty. Hopefully I should see some nice fall colours over the next few weeks.
