Here is a picture of my leafing out 'Hiryu'
I got this last year as a 1G plant. has put out a think maybe 3-4" on growth this year so far.
I love the irregular leaves on this plant. It has a nice green bark with some white speckles in it.
I look forward to anyone else with experience with this cultivar.

I find 'Hiryu' to be a very fun looking tree. This one is about 8' tall and has a look similar to bamboo.

Very Nice, 8 ft. Mine may have made 2. It has put out about 6-8" of growth this year. Seems quite hardy with little dieback in Zone 5b.
I find the leaves very interesting.

Here is a smaller Hiryu. It has the nice green leaf. I saw some leaves on it which were very similar to Hogyoku

I've had a few reversions to the Amoeum leaf on mine.
    Just hacked them off.
This one is a favorite of mine.
