As always, no one describes cultivars better than Peter Gregory. In his "Pocket Guide to Japanese Maples" he notes that this upright tree shows "the flush of gold through orange-red in the otherwise rich green leaves, which lasts throughout the growing season and gives the plant its name." I'm eager to see the fall colors, as I've not seen them before, this plant being new to my garden. Wildwood maples indicates the color becomes more intense as the tree matures. Our Ever Autumn in July. I saw this tree and had to have it. The leaf reminds me of a japonicum or a shirasawanum.
