This is a new dissectum introduced by Firma Esveld. It should be red becoming dark purplish-red, longer hold than 'Ornatum. I'll be posting several pics during the year to follow its features. These are just after bud break. Gomero
I really like this dissectum. The color evolves towards a light brown with green undertones, unusual in the dissectums. I've staked it to give it a weeping form. Gomero
This is my 'Emma' bought at Esveld last year. It is a vigorous grower and I really like it's colors. The pictures were taken this spring.
25th April 2021 and my first posting of my Emma. I'm so glad that I can put this on here, as the thread has not been updated for over eleven years. So here it is just starting to leaf out.
Good morning D, unfortunately I had to leave mine behind at my former house as it was planted in the ground.
Good morning to you also M. Moving house is always fraught, should I dig it up and take it with me, risking a lot, or start over!!? I hope my photos over this season can help you make your mind up whether to buy one again. Let's hope it does.
20th May 2021 and it's taken nearly a month to unfurl due to this very cold Spring, but now my Emma is looking rather nice.
very nice variety that I acquired this summer, I planted it this autumn in flower bed! the photos are from this summer
13th April and a lovely warm Spring morning here in the South of England, with my Emma waking up very nicely this morning.
28th April 2022 and as they say patience is a virtue. So here is my Emma now doing what it does best.
