    Lovely - one of my favourite cultivars. Is is worth removing the growing plantation around the base so it is is not being robbed of any nutrients?

    those are some bi-annuals flowers i placed in there last year. they did well together then. i use liquid sea weed once a month to keep them happy. they will definitely be removed after this years blooms.

    12th October 2023 and my Aka shigitatsu sawa colouring up for Autumn. Some higher leaves earlier than others.

    20th April 2024 and in tbe sunshine my Aka shigitatsu sawa has leafed out rather nicely this year.
